INTERIOR DESIGNER
Christina Kim Interior Design, a residential interior design firm that loves an ocean view, seeks an Interior Designer to join our firm. CKID is looking for a kind, hardworking, fun, team oriented and self-motivated individual with a desire to grow as a key member of our firm. Our firm is looking for a candidate that has a balance between their passion for design and technical skills needed to execute and produce documentation that effectively communicates the firm's vision.
As a member of our team, your role would include managing a project from start to finish. Working alongside, reporting to and communicating regularly with the principal designer and construction designer on all phases of the project from concept to installation.
Job Description:
-Manage projects from start to finish through all phases of design
-Collaborate on schematic design & design development on all projects.
-Compile and organize project information from trade day and walk-thru onsite meeting.
-Utilizing computer software to create and present Mood/Presentation boards to clients.
-Client Communications
-Comfortable in all facets of design, including kitchen, bathroom, millwork and finish selections as well as soft selections and decor.
-Create floor plans, elevations, furniture plans, custom furniture and design specification, material and finish schedules.
-Coordinate with all team members, clients, builders, trades and vendors at various times during the construction and design process
-Ability to work on multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to analyze and problem solve on both construction and design elements.
-Ability to respectfully communicate issues and look for resolutions.
Requirements:
-Interior Design or Interior Architecture Degree
-Min 3-5 years at an residential Interior Design Firm
-Computer Skills a must:
-AutoCAD -Sketchup -Google Suite -Adobe Suite -Vray a plus
-Experience with ground up construction and renovation.
-Ability to read and understand architectural plans
-Layout of floor plans, furniture plans, and electrical plans
-Strong knowledgeable in high end furniture, textiles & wallpaper lines
-Strong knowledge of tile & stone, cabinetry materials and lines
-Knowledgeable in Cabinetry Design, Furniture Design, Construction Process
-Strong Project Management Skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to draft and maintain documents and spreadsheets with design information.
-Day to day attire; stylish, casual and polished.
-Enthusiasm and willingness to travel is a must.
